Senior Nutrition

Welcome to Neti’s Place Senior Center! We are happy to provide FREE nutritious meals to individuals aged 55+ every Monday – Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We serve an entrée, a vegetable, fruit, a grain, and limited drinks. Seniors are welcome to bring their own drink if something other than milk, water, tea, or coffee is preferred. Due to COVID restrictions, there is limited seating capacity. All meals are served on location at 360 E Marietta St Decatur, IL 62521.

It costs the Empowerment Opportunity Center $7 to make each meal and donations are appreciated! Participants under the age of 55 will be required to purchase a meal at the $7 rate. Spouses of individuals that are 55+ years of age can also dine for no cost. Check out our monthly menu every month below! It will also be posted to our Facebook page.

How does It Work?

Our Senior Center is located on the second floor of our office at 360 E Marietta St. When you come inside, the receptionist will direct you towards the elevator. Once in our Center, our Senior Services Specialist will inform you on our policies & procedures. To verify you meet our age requirements we will ask for a proof of photo identification that shows your birth date. You’ll be asked to fill out a Nutrition Form for the year of 2022. Once that has been completed you will be given a “Participant Nutrition Card”. Please show this card to our servers every time you come in to dine so that we may verify that we already have your information on file. Our servers will then kindly serve you & you are welcome to participate in any of the activities we offer.
