The Empowerment Opportunity Center’s Senior Center is called Neti’s Place. We will serve meals at Neti’s Place 5 days a week. Seniors aged 60 and up are welcome to dine. The hours for dining are 11-1. The last person will be seated at 12:30. We serve an entrée, a vegetable, fruit, a grain and limited drinks. Seniors are welcome to bring their own drink if something other than milk, water, or coffee is preferred. Due to COVID restrictions, and limited seating capacity, reservations are recommended in advance to guarantee a meal. It costs The Empowerment Opportunity Center $7 to make each meal. No senior will be turned away for an inability to pay but donations are appreciated. Participants under the age of 60 will be required to purchase a meal at the $7 rate. Check the website before a new month begins to see our menu. It will also be posted to our Facebook page.
Please contact our Senior Services Staff at 217-428-4148 for questions or to make a reservation.
This Month’s Menu
As we grow our Senior Services, we will begin adding activities for Seniors at Neti’s Place. Check back for more details and a schedule of activities. The schedule will also be available on our Facebook page.
The Empowerment Opportunity Center provides transportation for Seniors in Macon County. We can transport you to fulfill your shopping needs and to medical appointments. Due to limited driver availability and other Senior Center commitments, please call as far in advance as possible to guarantee a ride will be available at the time you need. It is first come first served. A donation of $5 per ride is suggested. Contact our Senior Services Staff at 217-428-4148 to schedule transportation.
The following days are observed by our staff. No meal service will be available. See each month’s menu for any other closings not listed below.
